Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our Indonesian e-VOA application assistance for Australian travellers, including pricing, required documents, processing times and visa conditions.

1. How much does the Indonesian e-VOA service cost?

Our all-inclusive package costs AUD $150 per person, including GST. The price covers one applicant and includes the official Indonesian e-VOA government fee, our application management service, applicable online payment and transaction charges, and the Bali foreign tourist levy for eligible visitors to Bali.

Each traveller requires a separate application and pays the AUD $150 package price individually.

2. What is included in the AUD $150 package?

Our package includes:

  • The official Indonesian e-VOA visa fee of IDR 500,000.
  • The Bali foreign tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per person, where applicable.
  • Our application preparation and management service.
  • Applicable payment processing and transaction charges for the included payments.
  • GST.

We manage your application and arrange payment of both the e-VOA fee and the Bali tourist levy on your behalf before your trip. These are separate government payments, but both are covered by our package when applicable.

Visa extensions, optional services and costs not expressly listed above are not included.

3. Do I need to pay the visa fee or Bali tourist levy again when I arrive?

No. Once we have successfully submitted your application and completed the two included payments, you will not need to pay those same fees again upon arrival.

Keep your approved e-VOA and Bali tourist levy payment confirmation available during your trip. Other immigration requirements or charges not included in our package may still apply.

4. Who can apply for an Indonesian e-VOA?

Australian passport holders are eligible to apply for Indonesia’s Visa on Arrival (VOA), including its electronic version, subject to the applicable immigration requirements.

Applicants must hold an eligible ordinary passport and meet the required entry conditions. You must apply for the e-VOA while outside Indonesia.

5. How long can I stay in Indonesia with an e-VOA?

The initial e-VOA permits a stay of up to 30 days from the date of arrival. It can generally be extended once for an additional 30 days, allowing a maximum total stay of 60 days, subject to approval.

Visa extensions are not included in our AUD $150 package and require a separate application and payment.

6. How long is the e-VOA valid before I travel?

The e-VOA must be used to enter Indonesia within 90 days from its date of issuance. This is the visa’s entry validity period, not the length of your permitted stay.

We recommend applying at least 48 hours before departure to allow time for processing. Avoid applying too early, as your visa must still be valid when you enter Indonesia.

7. How long does the application take?

Our estimated service processing time is one business day after we have received all required documents and your payment has cleared.

Our office processing hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Bali time, excluding public holidays. Processing times can vary, and government processing or approval delays are outside our control.

We recommend applying at least 48 hours before departure.

8. What documents do I need to apply?

You will generally need:

  • A passport valid for at least six months from your arrival date in Indonesia.
  • A recent colour passport-style photograph.
  • A return or onward flight ticket.
  • A valid email address for application communications and delivery of your visa.

Additional information may be requested if required for your application. Please ensure that all details match your passport accurately.

9. What activities are permitted with the B1 tourist e-VOA?

The B1 e-VOA generally permits activities such as:

  • Holidays, sightseeing and tourism.
  • Visiting friends and family.
  • Attending permitted meetings, conventions, exhibitions and similar events as an attendee.
  • Transiting through Indonesia to another destination, subject to the applicable entry requirements.

The B1 tourist e-VOA does not permit paid employment in Indonesia. You must comply with all conditions attached to your visa.

10. Is the visa approval guaranteed?

No. All visa approval and immigration decisions are made by the Indonesian authorities.

We manage your application and arrange the included payments, but we cannot guarantee visa approval or permission to enter Indonesia. Entry remains subject to the final decision of Indonesian Immigration officers.

11. Is the Bali tourist levy included in the package?

Yes. For eligible visitors to Bali, our AUD $150 package includes payment of the IDR 150,000 Bali foreign tourist levy on your behalf.

The levy is separate from the Indonesian e-VOA visa fee. We arrange both payments before your trip. Exemptions may apply to certain categories of travellers under Bali’s rules.

If your itinerary does not include Bali, please contact us before booking to confirm the appropriate service.

12. Do I Need to Complete an Indonesian Arrival Card?

Yes. All applicable travellers must complete Indonesia’s All Indonesia Arrival Card within the required timeframe before arrival, currently within 72 hours of arrival.

The Arrival Card is not included in our AUD $150 e-VOA service package. You are responsible for completing this declaration yourself through the official All Indonesia website.

The Arrival Card is a separate, free government declaration and is not a visa. Our service covers your e-VOA application and the included payments specified in our package description, but does not include completing the Arrival Card on your behalf.

13. What happens if my visa application is refused?

Visa approval is determined by Indonesian Immigration. If your application is refused, we will review your case in accordance with our published Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Government fees and third-party charges may be non-refundable under the relevant provider’s rules. A visa refusal does not automatically entitle you to a refund for services properly provided. Your rights under applicable Australian Consumer Law remain protected.

14. Can you help me extend my visa?

The initial e-VOA can generally be extended once for an additional 30 days, subject to immigration requirements and approval.

Visa extensions involve a separate application process and payment. Extension services and extension fees are not included in the AUD $150 initial application package.

15. Is Bali Travel Visa an Indonesian government website?

No. We are an independent visa application assistance service working with an established service partner in Indonesia.

We help manage the application process and the included payments on your behalf. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Indonesian government, and final visa decisions remain solely with the relevant Indonesian authorities.
